1-62 ADA is commanded by Lt. Col Jeff McDonald. "These Soldiers in front of you today have worked tirelessly during this rotation and provided air defense to our host-nation and their assets," said McDonald. Lt. Col Patrick Costello is the commander for 3-4 ADAR, "We look forward to this mission and hope we can only continue the high level of professionalism that 1-62 ADA has exuded these past 12 months," said Costello.

The ceremony was presided over by the 31st ADA Brigade Commander, Col Michael T. Morrissey and was perfect conclusion to a great transition between two remarkable units.

"The color guard was the star of our ceremony, performing the casing and uncasing of the colors without fault," said 1st Lt. Laura Barenek.

"It makes me proud to see my Soldiers executing the mission that they trained so many hours on so many days for at home station. They are getting better every day at their craft; this mission enables them to hone their Air Missile Defense and leadership skills daily," said Capt. Will Andrews, commander of Charlie Battery.

3-4 ADAR is part of 108th ADA Brigade based out of Fort Bragg NC, 1-62 ADA has redeployed back to their home station of Fort Hood and back to the 69th ADA Brigade.
