CAMP CASEY - The 2nd Infantry Division and U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I organizations and community members are lauded for their volunteer service during a 2nd quarter recognition ceremony March 12, at the Warrior's Club here.

On behalf of the 2nd Inf. Div., Brig. Gen. Paul Laughlin, deputy commanding general for maneuver, personally thanked the Area I volunteers for their over 1,500 hours of service.

Col. John M. Scott, USAG Red Cloud and Area I commander and senior leadership also received a check from the awardees symbolizing $34 thousand worth of donated time by the volunteers.

The top Volunteers of the Quarter, in four categories are; Hye Suk Harper as the Individual Volunteer with 375 hours, Sgt. 1st Class Vannak Sim as the Soldier Volunteer with 118 hours, the United Service Organizations as the Organization Volunteer with 300 hours and Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 72nd Armor Regiment, 2nd Inf. Div. as the Unit Volunteer with 393 hours of valuable service contributed in the 2nd quarter.

In all, 15 Soldiers, civilians and family members were honored.
