FORT BENNING, Ga. (March 12, 2014) -- More than 1,000 JROTC cadets, educators, mentors, collegiate shooters and other guests of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in addition to 150 future Soldiers will converge here Thursday for the Fourth Annual Army Strong Experience.
The Army Strong Experience provides the opportunity to learn firsthand about the Army and showcases capabilities of the Army through demonstrations by an array of units on post. Those in attendance will attend the Rangers in Action demonstration, USAMU Shotgun and Action Shooting Steel Shooting pistol demonstrations, and Silver Wings Parachute demonstration.
They will also have the opportunity to jump from a 34-foot Airborne training tower, receive hands-on pistol training, and experience the Army's Adventure Semi Mobile exhibit, a culmination of hands-on and interactive systems which enable the public to get a glimpse of what it's like to be a Soldier in the technically advanced U.S. Army.
