WIESBADEN, Germany - "I'm Latina, so my mom retired and moved in with me because it's the law," said Lisa Alvarado, comedian and single mom.

"It's great because I love my mom, she helps me out with my son. But you know when you hang out with your mom, you start to become your mom? You morph into her," Alvardo continued. "The other night, I actually washed a paper plate."

Such was the flavor of "tasteful, yet funny, adult-themed jokes" that kept the audience roaring at the Wiesbaden Entertainment Center, where Alvarado, Christina Lopez and Maria Shehata of the Charlie's Angels Comedy Tour performed March 2.

The trio, sponsored by the Department of Defense's Armed Forces Entertainment, has been touring military installations in Europe since Feb. 19.

Approximately 50 people attended the show, which gave the comediennes plenty of opportunity to interact with the audience -- particularly on the topic of online dating.

"I joined match.com, which was a huge mistake because I realized I'm never going to meet anyone on match.com if I keep judging people for being on match.com," Shehata quipped. "Anyone else in here single?"

When one brave woman raised her hand, Shehata heckled her a little but encouraged her to sit at a table with some single men. "Make friends tonight, make out with someone," she joked.

The funny ladies all come from diverse backgrounds. Shehata is Egyptian-American and hails from Columbus, Ohio. She said her parents had an arranged marriage after knowing each other for three days. Alvarado is a Peruvian single mother from Chicago, and Lopez is a blonde Puerto Rican military brat "from everywhere and nowhere."

"Maybe that's why I like being a comedian -- I've always been a nomad," said Lopez, whose father and grandfather were in the Army. "I'm an Army brat, cubed."

Her mother was a civil servant, and her brother and husband also currently serve as Soldiers. She grew up on bases around the world. She said fans have requested more military material in her routine.

"I'm able to say a lot of the lingo," she said. "And I understand the culture -- that no pain, no gain, suck-it-up mentality."

The tour runs until March 12.
