The U.S. Army Materiel Command hosted a two week Acquisition Logistics University course for 19 Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARs) from locations across the world, Jan. 27 -- Feb. 7.

The course is set up to address supporting worldwide Army readiness. The curriculum includes the Logistics Assistance Program organization overview; organizational roles and responsibilities; geographic support process and procedures; supply distribution; logistics automation from unit through national level sustainment, maintenance support operations; environmental hazards; Defense Reutilization and Marketing Operations (DRMO); materiel fielding; DOD supply support activities; contractor relationships; all facets of Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) and oral and written presentations.

Neils Biamon, senior executive and chief of Current Operations was the guest speaker for the graduating LARs.
