Military Promotion Ceremony held at Tooele

TOOELE ARMY DEPOT, Utah -- The U.S. Army held a formal military promotion ceremony for Randall W. Rhees, Officer in Charge (OIC) at the Tooele Army Depot, Health Clinic, on February 4 at 4:00 p.m., who has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, effective February 1, 2014.

Major Luke Mease and Sergeant Michael Caruso, both from U.S. Army, Medical Department, Fort Carson MEDDAC, Fort Carson, Col. (Dugway Proving Ground medical services) presided over the ceremony.

Rhees has served 12 dedicated years in the U.S. Army Medical Services, currently supporting Dugway Proving Ground and Tooele Army Depot, Health Clinics.

"I am very honored to be an officer in the U.S. Army," said Rhees. "This promotion reflects the values that I continue to live each day." He thanked several mentors from previous duty stations, the Army, his wife of 18 years and family for supporting him through his career.

Rhees holds a degree of Optometry from Pacific University, Oregon, on May 2001.

A native of Orem, Utah, he currently lives in Lehi, Utah, with his wife, Rebecca, and their two children.
