Contract specialists and leaders from the Force Projection and Tools Contracting Division at Army Contracting Command-Warren, Mich., made the holidays a little brighter for some Michigan families.

They volunteered at a local Salvation Army Corps where they assembled and filled boxes of food for the needy. The group packed more than 600 boxes of food that was distributed before Christmas throughout the metropolitan Detroit area. While helping those less fortunate, the participants gained a sense of teaming and camaraderie working side by side to ensure local families had a meal for Christmas, said Joan McCallister, ACC-WRN executive officer. The Salvation Army was highly appreciative, she said.

The volunteers were (front row, left to right): Monica Walker, Deanne Gaermeminck, Jamie Waszak, Trish Pierce, Shelia Couch, Emily Schulte, Jordan VanDeSteene, Pat Brown, Mike Ivkov, (back row, left to right) Carlo Daleo, Dan Gibson, Jay Lentz, Anthony Giacchina, Chad Anderson, Pam Taiariol, Mike Wilson, Michael Young, Rey Moncayo, Vince DiSanto, and Charles Goodine.
