On 17 December 2013, The Partnership for Public Service announced the 2013 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings. The U.S. Army Audit Agency (USAAA) placed third among 300 organizations in the Agency Subcomponents category. This is the fourth consecutive year the Agency has placed in the top three (and the Agency has only competed four times)! In 2010, the Agency participated for the first time in the Partnership for Public Service's survey of the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government, and placed second among 224 participating subcomponents; in 2011, the Agency placed second among 240 subcomponents; and in 2012, the Agency was once again rated as one of the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government, placing first among 292 subcomponents!

On 18 December 2013, Mr. Randall Exley, The Auditor General, accepted the plaque on behalf of the Agency during a breakfast ceremony at the Ronald Reagan Building Pavilion. Also in attendance was Mr. Joseph Bentz, Principal Deputy Auditor General; Mrs. Debbie Marois, Program Director of Strategic Planning and Communications; and Mr. Chris Higgins, Strategic Plans and Special Studies.
