Mr. Cox assumed the responsibility of Deputy Garrison Commander of U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys and Area III on 1 April 2012.

A native of Tennessee, he has had a number of U.S. Army active duty and civilian assignments at Fort Polk (2nd ACR & 108th ADA BDE (Airborne)), Fort Carson (3rd Brigade, 4th ID), Fort Bliss (3rd ACR), and in Korea. Mr. Cox previously served as the Chief of Operations and as Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization, & Security at USAG Humphreys Korea. Mr. Cox began his Federal Service career in 1985 with the US Army, and holds an Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor's degree. Mr. Cox is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management.

Mr. Cox is a graduate of the Civilian Advanced Course, Army Management and Staff College and the Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization, & Security Course. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and the Korean Civilian Service Medal.

Mr. Cox has been married to his spouse Kim, for 25 years and has two daughters, Kelli and Emily.
