Describe your current position: I am the deputy chief of staff, Human Capital for the Army Contracting Command and I am responsible for advising the ACC commanding general and key senior leaders on all aspects of personnel (human resources) recruitment, retention, relocation and benefits.

In my capacity as the G-1, I oversee and coordinate the daily functions that recruit, retain, train, and sustain ACC's highly skilled and dedicated workforce. The workforce consists of Soldiers, Department of the Army civilians and our dedicated families who work each day to support the freedoms that are the foundation of our democracy.

Tell us about your professional/education background: I have a bachelor of science in Accounting, and graduated from the Adjutant General's Corps Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms Staff College, Command and General Staff College, and the United States Army War College.

Where do you call home: Home is wherever the Army sends me, but my home of record is Lawrence, Kan. My wife's name is Dee and she is a retired Army officer with 24 years of active service. We have two sons: Ryan, a robotics engineer student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston; and Quentin, a psychology student at Saint Bonaventure University, Saint Bonaventure, N.Y.
