The Mackey and Crosby Families would like to wish each and every member of Warrior Brigade family a Happy Thanksgiving. On this Thanksgiving, we are thankful for the opportunity to live and train with this great brigade combat team in the Hawaiian Islands. The islands offer unique terrain, environmental and cultural challenges that enhance our unit's ability to accomplish its mission and answer our Nation's call anywhere in the world.

Thanksgiving is a time of reflection and community. It is also a time to count our many blessings and to celebrate the gifts we all enjoy in life.

Warriors and their Families are the most important component to accomplishing our mission. The Soldiers of the Warrior Brigade are its strength.

People from around the world save up for a long time to come to the place we call home to spend a few days of vacation - we live here. However, as nice as Hawaii is as a place to live and work in, it is also thousands of miles away from where many of us call home or have family. We know that there are many Warriors who will be celebrating this holiday alone, unable travel back to the mainland to be with their loved ones during the holiday season. But remember, if you stay here in Hawaii for the holiday, you are not alone - you are with your Warrior family.

We hear tales of the professionalism and personal courage of Warriors each and every day and we challenge you to continue to uphold the impeccable personal and professional standards of our nation's Army. Thank you for your continued efforts to make 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team the best brigade combat team in the Army and a unit we can all say we are proud to be a part of.

Warriors!
