YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- Professional fitness instructor, Tony Horton visited the garrison and taught his exercise routine to more than 50 people at the Collier Community Fitness Center, Nov 13.

Horton is an American fitness guru, best known for his boot camp style P90X home fitness program. His direct-response advertisements are some of the most frequently aired infomercials on American television.

Horton shared his workout ideas with the attendees of the intense workout which lasted about an hour.

"It was more difficult than the usual [physical training] that I do every morning. I learned new ways to enhance my muscle strength," said Pfc. Lee Woo Yeoul, Headquarters and Headquarters Company. "It was not just the exercise, he said some very inspiring comments about health and fitness. Frankly, I was slowly disregarding the importance of exercise, but I made up my mind to try my best to stay fit."

Horton showed ways for people to keep their bodies in good shape, and also shared his thoughts about the real meaning of fitness and health.

"I came out here today to help people understand how fitness is changing. Fitness is not just about doing pushups and sit-ups. It's about allowing the body to be more strong and durable," Horton said. "Fitness doesn't require a lot of things, just the human body and ground. If people simply understand that good fitness only needs variety, consistency and intensity, they can be better, happier, less of a burden and more of a solution."

After the event, Horton signed autographs and posed for photographs with fans at the event.
