Senior Enlisted Bandleader SGM David L. Fallin

Sergeant Major David L. Fallin, a native of Martinsville, VA., is the Senior Enlisted Bandleader of the Army Materiel Command Band, currently stationed on Redstone Arsenal, Ala. He joined the Army shortly after graduating from Martinsville High School in 1985, obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Leo University in December 2005, and is currently working toward a Masters in Business Administration from Excelsior College.

Prior to his arrival at AMC, Fallin served as the sergeant major of the Eighth Army Band in Yongsan, Korea. Other previous assignments include the 1st Infantry Division Band, Fort Riley, Kan.; Training and Doctrine Command Band, Fort Monroe, Va.; 10th Mountain Division Band, Fort Drum, N.Y.; 392nd Army Band, Fort Lee, Va.; U.S. Army Personnel Command, Alexandria, Va.; 2nd Infantry Division Band, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; 389th Army Band (AMC's Own), Aberdeen, Md.; and the Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion, Harrisburg, Penn. He assumed responsibility as first sergeant on deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and New Dawn. He has also served as a U.S. Army recruiter, career field human resource manager, and supervisor for Training, Logistics, and Operations.

He is a graduate of the Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, First Sergeant Course, and the Sergeants Major Academy Class 62. His awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (six oak leaf clusters), Army Commendation Medal (three oak leaf clusters), Army Achievement Medal (five oak leaf clusters, Iraq Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.

Fallin is married to the former Eileen Boylan of Windham, N.H. They have four daughters, Samantha, Tessa, Sarina, and Noelle, and two sons, Joshua and Jared.
