BAMBERG, Germany (Oct. 24, 2013) -- Family, friends and fellow Soldiers welcomed home the Soldiers of the 370th Sapper Company, 54th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade, at a redeployment ceremony honoring their return at U.S. Army Garrison Bamberg's Freedom Fitness Facility Oct. 11.

The company deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in January. In preparation for this deployment, the company had three field training exercises including a rotation at Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany.

The 370th Sapper Company had previously been deployed to Logar Province, Afghanistan in 2010 and 2011.

"We're very proud of your accomplishments," said Lt. Col. Thomas Austin, commander of the 54th Engineer Battalion. "It's great to have you back home."

Capt. Craig Miller has commanded the 370th Sapper Company since June of 2012.
