Swayney bids SMDC/ARSTRAT farewell

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala.--On July 25, 2008 Space and Missile Defense Command/ Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT) held a farewell ceremony for Lt. Col. Kina Swayney, Deputy Chief of Staff for the G1.

Attending the ceremony as her special guest was her husband, Doug.

Swayney worked for SMDC/ARSTRAT since October of 2006. Swayney led several key events effecting personnel during her assignment here. She led the command consolidation of several employees from Colorado Springs, Colorado; the base realignment and closure of SMDC/ARSTRAT headquarters in Arlington, Virginia; and the transformation to the National Security Personnel System (NSPS) for one third of the civilian workforce.

Swayney is now on assignment to the Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) as a human resources advisor to the Joint Task Force (JTF) and combatant commanders.
