Chief Warrant Officer 4 Marcellus E. Anderson, Joint Force Headquarters -- National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) and the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program manager, received the Legion of Merit presented by Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, JFHQ-NCR/MDW commanding general at Fort Lesley J. McNair, Oct. 4.

Anderson was recognized for his 25 years of Army service and his leadership which allowed his command to implement its SHARP program, one of the Army's top priorities. His efforts focused on creating awareness, education, and prevention to four Army garrisons, one joint base and the Pentagon.
