"Purple Day" Every Wednesday in October

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Purple Days: Everyone is encourage that can and is so inclined

to wear Purple to work every Wednesday throughout the month of October. Purple is the

designated ribbon and remembrance color of DV Awareness Month.

1 in 4 women will be involved in a violent partnered relationship. 85% of

domestic violence incidents target women but the number of reported

incidents of male victims is on the rise. 66% of adults have been in or

directly know someone that has been in a domestic violence environment.

Please help promote the Domestic Violence Awareness message and theme. "End

Domestic Violence. Recognize it, report it, prevent it."
