Illegitimate Theater Company, FMWR present fall production

Fort Huachuca, AZ. - The Illegitimate Theater Company, or ITC, and Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation presented Neil Simon's "The Sunshine Boys" Friday through Sunday at Murr Community Center.
The 1972 Broadway production focuses on Al Lewis and Willie Clark, a retired Vaudevillian duo known as "Lewis and Clark." Over 40 years, their relationship soured and eventually ended -- until Clark's nephew tries to reunite them for a CBS program on Vaudeville acts.
"[The play] is a comedy, [Lewis and Clark] are a fun couple," said Tom Fitzpatrick, play director and ITC member. "It's a fun show, you'll find things to laugh about in every scene."
For this production, audience members may notice the elaborate set built inside Murr Community Center stage. According to Michael Rosen, ITC president, it took six weeks to construct and paint.
"[Illegitimate Theater Company] really appreciates the Army and Fort Huachuca for letting us perform here," Rosen said.
ITC is a non-profit community theater in Sierra Vista. Twice a year, ITC members, cast and crew perform on post.
For those who missed "The Sunshine Boys" last weekend, the play continues today and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Murr Community Center. Tickets are $16. For more information, call 533.2404.
