BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan - (July 14, 2008) - Coalition personnel provided medical care to local citizens in Musa Qaleh District, Helmand province Friday.

A Coalition medical team conducted medical screenings and provided routine treatment to more than 200 local citizens including approximately 90 children in Chardeh Village.

Working alongside local leaders, the team set up a temporary treatment facility near the village, while Afghan National Army and National Police aided by Coalition forces, provided security. The team treated citizens suffering from various health conditions ranging from digestive ailments and internal parasites to dental and musculo-skeletal issues.

The medical team also provided free protein bars, vitamins and bottled water to the citizens.
