Soldiers participate in a practice jump at Bloemspruit Airbase, South Africa, July 23 in preparation for an exercise the units will conduct jointly during Shared Accord 13. Shared Accord is a biennial training exercise which promotes regional relationships, increases capacity, trains U.S. and South African forces, and furthers cross-training and interoperability. Rathje said that this jump was especially exciting because it will also earn each Soldier a pair of foreign wings for either jumping in a foreign country or jumping with a foreign country's jumpmasters.
