Arlington, Va. (July 10, 2013) - - Hundreds of visitors to the Nation's Capital, along with their host Lt. Gen. Susan S. Lawrence, the Army's Chief Information Officer, applauded the U.S. Army Military District of Washington's performance of 'Twilight Tattoo' last night at Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall.
Lawrence became the Army CIO in March, 2011, and is the first woman to hold that position and the fourth woman to be promoted to the rank of Lt. Gen. in the Army.
Twilight Tattoo is an hour-long military pageant featuring Soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own."
Audiences experience a glimpse into American history through performances by the U.S. Army Blues, vocalists from the U.S. Army Band, the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and the U.S. Army Drill Team.
