12 CAB Soldier fined $5,000 for fraud, larceny

At a general court-martial convened on Katterbach Kaserne, Ansbach, June 7, Spc. Christi Tamayo-Garcia, D Company, 5-158th Aviation Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, was found guilty, in accordance with his pleas, of one charge and two specifications of violating Article 132, fraud against the United States; one charge and three specifications of violating Article 107, false official statement; and one charge and one specification of violating Article 121, larceny of government property (basic allowance for housing).
The military judge sentenced Tamayo-Garcia to five months confinement, reduction to the grade of E-1, a $5,000 fine, and a bad-conduct discharge
At a general court-martial convened on Warner Barracks, Bamberg, from June 4-6, Staff Sgt. Ousmane Keita, 106th Financial Management Company, 16th Special Troops Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, was found not guilty, in accordance to his plea, of one charge and one specification of violating Article 120, rape, but was found guilty, contrary to his plea, of violating Article 134, adultery.
An enlisted panel sentenced Keita to a reprimand, reduction to the grade of E-4, and 30 days of hard labor without confinement.
