Ebrecht Jr. The 1st Space Battalion plans, coordinates, and integrates space support to the Warfighter. The battalion has had a continual presence in the Central Command area of operations with Army Space Support Teams and Commercial Imagery Teams. They also maintain a ready team for contingency operations worldwide. The battalion is on point 24 hours a day for missile warning. Their motto is 'Army Space -- Army Strong!'
