FORT BENNING, Ga., (June 4, 2013) -- The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, is scheduled to host a career enhancement fair June 10 through June 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kelley Hill Recreation Center.

The "Armor Up" Sledgehammer Career Enhancement Fair will be open to military members, their Families and the public.

Master Sgt. Eulalie Williams, the Sledgehammer Brigade's senior career counselor, is coordinating the event along with the rest of the Sledgehammer Retention Team.

"We're looking for ways Soldiers can enhance their careers," William said. "They have Families, as well, that may be looking for jobs so we said we are going to do both, not just for the military but for their Family members and for the Fort Benning community. The purpose is basically to educate the Soldiers and Families of the special programs, schools, and other employment options available."

Various local agencies, as well as, federal employers will be on hand to accept applications at the event. Williams said Soldiers preparing to reintegrate into the civilian workplace and any civilians in attendance should bring several copies of their resume.

Soldiers planning to enhance their military careers can receive information on Army service schools and Army military occupation specialties.

Soldiers planning on continuing their career in the military should bring an updated Enlisted Record Brief with them to the fair.

The event will conclude Thursday afternoon with an award presentation for all participating organizations and a cake cutting ceremony for the Army's 237th birthday.

The four-day event is free to military members, their Families and the public.
