The theme for this year's event is "Building Leadership: Embracing Cultural Values and Inclusion."

The guest speaker is the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Heidi Shyu. Shyu serves as the Army acquisition executive, the senior procure¬ment executive, the science advisor to the Secretary of the Army, and the Army's senior research and development official. She also has principal responsibility for all Department of the Army matters related to logistics.

"The guest speaker is an excellent example of how no matter what your ethnic background you are capable of advancing in leadership while embracing not just your cultural values, but the values of others through inclusiveness," said the Installation Equal Opportunity Advisor Tracy Marshall. "We are expecting a standing room only crowd. She is one of the highest ranking Asian Americans in the federal system."
