YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- In preparation for peak PCS season, FMWR hosted the first Spring Fling at R&R Bar and Grill, April. 27. The event included a community rummage sale, BBQ, music provided outdoor by a DJ, and a block party afterward for B.O.S.S.

Hundreds of people scoured the rose of tables for treasures making deals to help PCS'ing. Families lighten their shipment loads.

"I like the mood here," said Roberts David, who participated as a seller of flee market. "Everyone seems happy. Also, I see a lot of families out here. Because I think what matters is not about making money by selling my products, but the fact that people are enjoying the event, I find this meaningful and successful."

In addition to the markets, R&R Bar and Grill's barbeque was also a hit.

"I can definitely say that the food served is good," said Anderson Kyle, a participant who grabbed a box full of barbeque and other foods for his lunch. "It is not only delicious, but also served at a good price. Offering this kind of special event brings the community together, so I think it was nice of them to do this."

That is encouraging for Ron Buss, the garrison's business operations manager for MWR.

"There are a lot of people here who look like they are enjoying themselves," Buss said. "This is our first time doing a Spring Fling and a rummage sale, so I am happy it was a success."
