All-Army men win third straight Armed Forces Bowling Championship

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (Army News Service, April 29, 2013) -- The All-Army men won their third consecutive team title, and the All-Air Force women won their fourth in a row at the 2013 Armed Forces Bowling Championships, contested April 23-26, at the Bonnyman Bowling Center here.
The All-Army men prevailed with 20,167 pins in the four-day event, followed by runner-up All-Navy (19,274), All-Air Force (19,010) and host All-Marine Corps (18,625).
Army Reserve Master Sgt. Daniel Lew (5,410) of Dublin, Calif.; Master Sgt. Thomas Wynne (5,263) of Wiesbaden, Germany; Army Reserve Capt. Scott Lentsch (4,782) of Albuquerque, N.M.; and Sgt. 1st Class Dwayne Watkins (4,712) of Fort Riley, Kan., combined to win the men's crown. Don Aguilar of Fort Bliss, Texas, coached All-Army.
Lew won the individual men's gold medal, followed by silver medalist Wynne and bronze medalist Navy Lt. Leon Platt (5,066) of the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Charleston, S.C.
Air Force Staff Sgt. Natasha Sanchez (4,725) of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; Capt. Danielle Crowder (4,567) of Aviano Air Base, Italy; Master Sgt. Annette Gagarin (4,313) of Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; and Chief Master Sgt. Tiffany Smith (4,279) of Ramstein, Germany, won the women's team title with 17,844 pins. Steve Barinque of Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, coached All-Air Force.
Army Sgt. Rose Brown (4,879) of Fort Bragg, N.C., won the individual women's gold medal, followed by silver medalist Sanchez and bronze medalist Crowder.
The All-Army women's team of Brown, Sgt. 1st Class Chandres Bolden (4,296) of Fort Meade, Md.; Tennessee Army National Guard First Sgt. Jody Barnes-Turner (4,140) of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Army Reserve Lt. Col. Renea Greenlee (4,041) of Carson City, Nev., finished second with 17,356 pins.
The All-Navy women (16,068) finished third, followed by All-Marine Corps (14,794).
