Dr. Theresa Benchoff of Fort Campbell's Warrior Resiliency and Recovery Center explains symptoms of traumatic brain injury to military chaplains and civilian counselors and pastors at the Liberty Chapel training event on April 18.
On Thursday, April 18, 60 area pastors and counselors joined Army chaplains at Fort Campbell, Kentucky's Liberty Chapel to hear presentations on post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries given by psychiatrist Maj. Joe Wise, Chief of Behavioral Health at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, and Dr. Theresa Benchoff of the Warrior Resiliency and Recovery Center.
Installation Chaplain (Colonel) Jeff Houston invited the local clergy for the training to help build bridges of support and deepen understanding within the local community, which is home to 55,000 Soldiers and Family members from the installation.
