Soldiers from the 3d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) shared information with the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) during Reverse-Collection Analysis and Team (R-CAAT) teleconference briefings April 10 at Harris Hall on Fort Knox, Ky.

The R-CAAT program brings commanders as well as selected staff members to CASCOM to provide lessons learned, insight and observations made during the deployment.

Brig. Gen. Kristin K. French, commanding general of the 3d ESC, along with some of her staff attended the CASCOM briefing while 3d ESC Soldiers at Fort Knox teleconferenced in with subject matter experts.

Chief Warrant Officer Gilberto D. LopezVelez, Directorate of Lessons Learned & Quality Assurance with CASCOM, said the information provided by the 3d ESC was beneficial.

"The cumulative knowledge provided by 3rd ESC is invaluable to doctrine, training, and combat developers in CASCOM and to junior leaders at Army Logistics University and the Quartermaster School allowing them to analyze and scrutinize battle-tested best practices," said LopezVelez. "It helps improve (the) ability to make doctrinal manuals and platform instruction more effective and relevant to the rapidly changing wartime environment."

Maj. Steven Toth, the knowledge management officer with the 3d ESC also felt the briefing was valuable and hoped it would help future organizations.

"There is no doctrine for the ESC," said Maj. Toth. "The hope is that they acknowledge that there is no doctrine for our level and by correcting that the training will also be corrected."

The R-CAAT brief spanned over two days allowing the 3d ESC time to share a variety of information.
