YONGSAN GARRISON -- Hundreds of children and parents gathered at the Youth field located in U.S. Army garrison Yongsan on Mar. 30. For the annual Easter egg hunt hosted by Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.

"We are hosting the egg hunt to let people get out and socialize with each other, while spending some time in the sun instead of just sitting in their home," said Ron Buss, business operations division chief for MWR Yongsan. "Since this is a family event, I was hoping it would be a lively event bringing the community members a little more together."

And lively it was. Children were picking up fun as they were gathering the eggs. Sara Brown, an 8 year old participant did not have a basket full of eggs, but she was definitely having fun.

"I am only picking up the pretty ones," Sara said. "It is fun to be here with my parents and watching everybody have a good time."

After all the eggs were gathered, food, games and other activities were available for the children to enjoy. The Easter Bunny was everywhere for picture posing for pictures with those children who were not afraid of him.

"I am quite amused at how the event is well organized," said James Safford, a parental participant. "The hosting party took good care concerning the safety, considering how many kids were here today. Also, it was considerate of them to prepare many recreational features for those who were waiting for their kids."
