BUTLERVILLE, Ind. - Marines from Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, II Marine Expeditionary Force, lead civilian role-players to the decontamination site during the Vibrant Response 10.1 field training exercise Nov. 8 at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center. Vibrant Response 10.1 exercised more than 4,000 service members as they responded to a simulated 10-kiloton nuclear weapon detonation in Indianapolis. The field training exercise put more than 4,000 members of the Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, high-yield Explosive Consequence Management Response Force through a domestic incident response in support of a primary agency for the first time.
